5 Ways to Take the Practice Leap into AI Governance |

Every AI governance practitioner faces three capability leaps over the course of their career: the Practice Leap, the Adaptive Leap, and the Leadership Leap. |
The Practice Leap moves a practitioner from knowing what governance should look like, to actually building it. The Adaptive Leap takes a practitioner from being able to build governance, to being able to influence people and organizations for sustained impact. And the Leadership Leap sees a practitioner move from doing the work, to building the capacity that lets others do it without you.
We're finding it's the Practice Leap where most people get stuck, and our data shows why.
The AI Governance Practitioner Assessment measures five dimensions of capability. Across nearly 450 assessments, Knowledge scores highest by far (6.9): people have read the frameworks and passed the exams. Application is one of the weakest (4.5), and at Novice level, around 40% score zero.
